
Organizations wishing to support and partner with Cabo Verde Children project
should submit an overview and mission statement of the
organization and a brief statement on how it benefits the
children of Cabo Verde around the world.

UMass Cape Verdean Student Association is an active campus
group that works hard to promote and raise awareness about
Cape Verde, its people and its culture. The association
organizes multiple events during the school year that includes
poetry, guest speakers, networking, food display, theater,
dancing and cultural arts.
UMass student association has also engaged in
"Edgar Barros Bidon Project" in honor of a former
student and promising community leader who died of an accident
at Vulcan di Fogo during his life long dream of visiting the
land of his parents.
Edgar Barros was 25. The project collects school supplies that are
shipped to schools in Cape Verde for the benefit of
underprivileged children.
The association's Board of Directors have a close working
relationship with Cabo Verde Children project and often
volunteer to perform community services during school
vacation.
